What were the two types of transportation that helped the US grow during the Westward Expansion?
The two types of transport were the steamboat and the steam locomotive, I believe. The steam locomotive was sort of like a train, however it didn’t have any roof. They called it the “Iron Horse.” The steamboat was invented when an artist who was really interested in engineering studied an engine that ran on steam, and then designed the first steamboat. Fast travel helped people go to other places, therefore expanding our nation today.
