What year did the Industrial revolution in England start and end?
There was no year which can be identified as a ‘start’ year and no year in which it ended. The word ‘Revolution’ may give you the impression it was sudden and dramatic but that was not the case. History is not just dates and events , it is a continually evolving process and quite complex. You can look at individual developments such as the development of textile machinery, the invention of the steam engine and railways but none of these would have been possible without earlier developments in for, example, metallurgy, banking and finance , mining and even the transition to a more scientific approach in agriculture. Ask your teacher or your librarian to recommend o good book on Economic & Social History which covers the period 1700 to 1900 in particuar.
