Whats a good 600cc motorcycle?
Umm… everyone who has a motorcycle license has a class M license, regardless of experience, at least every state that i know of. Anything from the big 4 (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha) is a pretty sure bet. Don’t let the fan boys discourage you from one brand or the other by talking which one is “faster”. The performance level of these machines is so close that you could never realize the true power of any of them on the street, let alone the razor thin margin of performance differences. Go to a few dealerships and sit on some and pick on the the basis of comfort and how you like the color/style, not on what everyone else is riding (posers) or which one is winning in the races.
There are lots of nice 600cc+ bikes out there. Honestly, if you are going to turn in your car for a bike, get something you’ll be comfortable on for a long time (for long trips and for use over the years). Look at Sport Touring bikes, my favorites: Kawasaki Concours 14 Yamaha FRJ1300 A or AE BMW R1200RT, K1200GT, or F800ST If you want a full blown touring bike, then look at: Honda Goldwing BMW K1200LT You may also want to look at the new BRP Can-Am Spyder. Only about $15-16000. Giving up a car for a motorcycle is a huge sacrifice and you loose a lot of comforts: protection from elements, road hazards such as flying debris, a level of protection in accidents, often times you have no access to music/radio or other communications (cell phone technology for bikers have come a long way such as inhelmet mic’s, bluetooth, etc). All of the comforts can be remedied but to a degree for motorcycles. I would look at mid to large engine size (750cc and up), fuel capacity (a good combination of gas
