Whats the difference between car pooling and ride sharing?

0

Ride sharing is the term we use, although it’s similar to what most of us think of as car pooling. There’s a number of spots in the greater LA area that are designated as ride share points by the Angeles Chapter. The one we use most is in La Canada (see above). Others can be found in the Angeles Chapter’s Schedule of Activities. Hike participants are encouraged to share rides while travelling to/from the trail head. Its fun and saves gas. BTW, it’s customary to offer the driver $5 or so to cover gas costs. Due to insurance regulations the leaders do not assign people to rideshare. But they do suggest that you make your own rideshare arrangements.
