Whats the secret to getting hired at King Soopers?
There was no “secret” to getting hired at King Soopers for me. I had worked for the company for a few years before I moved to California. I came back in 1999 and the same store manager was managing the store I had worked for prior to leaving. Without hesitation he hired me on the spot without even having a position open for me! He remembered me instantly. He remembered what a hard worker I was, a self-starter and how I made our customers feel like family and friends instead of numbers. He remembered my customer service skills and my ability to smooth over problems. He was always trying to talk me into going into management, which I have no desire for any sort of management position. I expressed my feelings about the position to him several times, yet this did not discourage him from continuing to try to get me into management. Yet, I digress from the subject.
