When will grants be awarded?
Grants are awarded in May, for use in the following academic year. Sample Grants To purchase high-tech science equipment for advanced lab research and experiments. To provide authentic historical and/or art-related field experiences to study architecture or archeology. To bring in a traveling exhibit introducing students to a unique career path, such as Forensic Law. To fund an intensive learning program for a foreign language not offered currently (i.e. Mandarin).
When will we be notified if we have been awarded a grant or not? The deadline for submitting brief proposals was February 24, 2009 (3 p.m. ET). Select applicants will be contacted in early May 2009 by the Healthy Eating Research national program office to invite the submission of a full proposal for further consideration. Applicants not selected to submit full proposals will be notified by mid-May 2009. Applicants invited to submit a full proposal will submit through a separate Grantmaking Online proposal application site. The deadline for submitting full proposals is June 12, 2009 (3 p.m. ET).
