They are on your PC (as files) and phone. You will find them in your personal folder (C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Nokia\PC Phone). If you have not given permissions for other users of your PC they are strictly your private files and cannot be used or seen by others. Your PC Phone can be used as a SMS and call log archive. You can safely delete SMS messages or call log from your phone and they are still visible in Nokia PC Phone.
