Where is skimming most likely to take place?
Restaurants are the most likely spot for skimming. In fact, most of the cases prosecuted have involved restaurant employees. These skimmers are small enough to fit into the crook’s pocket and can quickly be pulled out and used to copy the data from your credit card. This copying usually takes place out of sight of the victim, and of course, in restaurants the card is taken from the customer and is out of sight for several minutes. Are some people more likely to be victims than others? It doesn’t appearl that any particular group of people is being targeted.
