Where was Hatshepsut buried?
There may be very important reasons why Hatshepsut’s mummy has not been found. Firstly, she may have rejected mummification. She may have preferred to be buried in the same manner as Jewish kings although we have no direct evidence for saying that. Even so, that might explain why there is no mummy of Hatshepsut. The main point about her journey to Punt-Israel is that she converted to worship of Jehovah. That means she would consequently “rest in peace” as an Old Testament Saint. Secular Egyptologists would not even dream of such possibilities but if this is in fact a true statement, or event, then the mysterious absence of Hatshepsut from all the other 18th dynasty monarchs whose mummies have been found (even Tutenkhamen’s) is not at all surprising.
