Which breeds of dogs are most able to have blue eyes, or other unique colours?

Huskies can have blue eyes, brown eyes, amber eyes, green eyes, two different colored eyes, parti eyes or split eyes. Australian Shepherds, border collies, and sometimes shelties can have blue eyes or partially blue eyes. Great Danes, Dalmatians, and Catahoulas occasionally have a blue eye. Note: in all of the above breeds except the husky, eye color genetics are linked to coat color genetics. And in many cases, the dog will be deaf. It’s very rare to find a deaf husky (well, except that they tend to be selectively deaf if they don’t want to do something). People who breed the above breeds (except huskies) specifically for eye color tend to not know much about the genetics and are disappointed when the dogs are born deaf or worse. There is a condition in Aussies called “Lethal White” where people breed blue merles trying to get blue eyed dogs and end up with dogs that have serious defects. Remember that getting a dog based on appearance is wrong. Be sure to research a breed to find out
