Which is the best sniper grade military surplus rifle mauser or mosin?
An “average” German vs. Russian comparison favour the Mauser. Its a better, mre modern design (with a modern cartridge) manufactured by a more thorough workforce. If your scoping then the post ’30 turned down bolt handle is a bonus… Of course there are exceptions; Finnish MNs are supposedly very good, far above Russian items in accuracy, likewise Swedish 6.5mm Mausers are probably the most sought after of all standard issue bolt guns! Obviously the non-standard tuned versions of both are far removed from the normal quality; oddly the Nagant has a exceptionally good reputation in this format, being quite gun-to-gun consistent & being very (~2moa) accurate.
