Who authored the Urantia Papers?
The names of the authors or their titles appear in the Table of Contents of, as well as at the end of each of the 196 Papers comprising The URANTIA Book. The authors identify themselves as a commission of heavenly beings of various and diverse “orders” and from many levels of spiritual hierarchy whose task it was to collaborate to bring to our world, known in heaven as “Urantia,” this new major revelation of epochal proportion which restores lost historical facts and restates an almost day-by-day account of the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. These ‘revelators’ brought to this endeavor their own individual areas of knowledge and expertise, while they were all mandated to utilize to the fullest extent possible any previous humanly expressed truths, “representing the highest and most advanced planetary knowledge of spiritual values and universe meanings,” before resorting to their own superior knowledge.
