Seriously though, out of all the serial killers in the world, the Zodiac is one of the scariest. The reason for this is his intelligence level, he wasn’t (completely) insane. That makes him extremely frightening. We expect serial killers to be lunatics, madmen that can’t control themselves… we attribute it to a mental instability, which we can rationalize. What we can’t understand is how a (relatively) sane man would actually want to kill people… how he could go beyond just the thought, and proceed with the action.
