I have the best pizza bagel my name is not needed. here is my recipe been useing it for many years now and I have me own bagel shop. BAGEL PIZZAS 4 bagels, split 1 jar pizza sauce Cooked sausage Pepperoni Mushrooms Olives Moz zarella cheese Top each bagel half with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, then top each with your favorite pizza toppings and 1 ounce of shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or if you’re in a hurry microwave each half for 1 minute until hot. Yummy!
The true inventor of the pizza bagel is Anthony DeMauro he just turned 80 and currently lives in Pepper Pike, Ohio he came from Trenton New Jersy in 1956 to open the first bagel bakery in Cleveland called Amster bagels it was there in 1959 he created the pizza bagel he put it out front in the shop to see if his wonderful idea sold and it did he worked there untill Mr. Amster died in the late 1960’s he then went to work for Bailys bagels untill 2003 when his wife Mary got sick and died in april of that year.
