A. Both the physician office setting and the facilities licensed under s. 395 F. S., (hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers) are required to perform the pause/time out rule. The physician and surgical team will pause immediately prior to the initiation of any surgical procedure to confirm the patient’s identification, the surgical procedure and correct surgical site.
