As a borrower of a laptop, you will be responsible for any damage to the laptop or for its theft. For your own security, please DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LEAVE A LAPTOP UNATTENDED. The replacement charge for a laptop is $2,500, in addition to a processing charge of $20. Charges for missing laptop accessories also apply – $50 for carrying case; $65 for AC-adaptor; and $170 for nine cell batteries. Overdue fines may also apply. A repair fee will levied for damaged laptops. Any laptop equipment malfunctions should be reported immediately to the Library staff. When borrowing a laptop, you will have to fill out the Ryerson University Library Laptop Agreement form acknowledging fiscal responsibility for the laptop while it is checked out to you. You are responsible for loss, theft, and any damage.
