Why can One-Step Western Blot Kit perform immuno-blot in a single step?
One-Step Western Kit was developed by using a breakthrough immuno-blotting technology. The technology employs several innovative reagents (patent pending) including a specially modified horseradish peroxidase (HRP), which can rapidly and specifically recognize primary antibodies but not other proteins. The technology allows primary antibodies to bind specifically to antigen but not to membrane or other proteins. Therefore, using the One-Step Western Blot Kit, the typical steps (required in a regular Western blot procedure): blocking, primary antibody binding, washing and secondary antibody binding can be replaced by a simple and rapid one-step reaction.
