Why did Mashriqi think that the AIML was playing into the hands of the British?
Mashriqi realized that the British were applying a policy of Divide and Rule to achieve their vested objectives. He felt that the All-India Muslim League (AIML) was playing directly into the hands of the British by pushing the Two-Nation Theory for partition and creating friction between the Hindus and Muslims. To him, the Muslim League was least concerned with securing the future of the 100 million Muslims in British India.
