Why do Hindus celebrate durga puja?

Write that the victory of mother Durga over the demons signify the victory of our inner goods over the lower impulses like greed , anger etc..so thats what the celebration is about .We worship mother Durga and defeat our lower nature and Mother Durga replaces hem with better things like compassion, mercy, patience, charity etc also you can right tht it reminds todays misguided society which kills female foetus’s and discriminates against girl child and women that feminity and motherhood etc are sacred and cause of celebration and so women as manifestastion of goddess shouldnt be discriminated against. The girl child is the representative of mother Durga. We worship small girls on the day and serve them plus give them gifts.ps- Hans Hindus do lot of charity this way on Navaratras and also by distributing prasaad / food to all ppl- rich and poor you can also write we fast , live a pure disciplined and moralistic life and worship .
