Why is the Vatican denying the truth about Pope Pius XIIs statements regarding the Holocaust?
The problem is that the Vatican won’t open up all of Pius XII’s archives to the public, so we can’t know everything. The Vatican has done a lot of harm in regards to the Holocaust, both by being apathetic while it was happening, and by helping Nazis escape to South America following the war. While Pope John Paul II was a good man who did help Jews during the war, the Vatican seems to gloss over their own faults. They can’t admit that they were wrong.
