Why is there a non-profit and a regular rate?

0

The Library Square Conference Centre offers downtown Vancouver’s only non-profit rate. This was established to support not-for-profit organisations, societies and associations who hold a Societies’ number and who may not otherwise be able to afford downtown or central meeting space. It does not apply to those organisations who are not necessarily making a profit; rather, it is for those whose intention is never to make a profit. This rate may not apply when an admission fee is charged for entry into a program or meeting. Our regular rates are very competitive with other downtown meeting and event space. It applies to corporations and businesses as well as those non-profit organisations which charge admission to the events they hold at Library Square.
