Why VENUS rotates east to west whereas other planets rotate in reverse direction?

0

The rotation of Venus is retrograde. Retrograde simply means opposite to the direction in which Earth rotates. There are eight planets because Pluto is no longer a planet. Out of these eight planets Venus and Uranus have retrograde rotation. This is because the direction of rotation of a planet depends on how the planet was formed from its parts (the parts are called as planetesimals). If more impacts occur on one side than the other, then it will rotate. For Venus and Uranus, there was more impact in one direction and for other planets larger impact was in another direction.
