Why was Mashriqi against the partition of India?

0

Mashriqi did not think that partition was the solution to Indias problems; Muslims and Hindus had been living together for centuries, and could continue to do so. He believed that their rights could be protected through a constitution that included a strong and independent judiciary. It is for this reason that he framed The Constitution of Free India, 1946 A.C. (also called the Khaksar Constitution) which protected the rights of Muslims and non-Muslims. Mashriqi felt that the real cause of the friction between Muslims and Hindus was the British, which is why he wanted to form a united front to oust the British from India.
