Most of the theaters that showed Monsters vs. Aliens in 3-D using 3-D glasses. The 3-D trailer was shown to give everyone a glimpse of the 3-D movie experience as well as to add to the hype for the movie. Having those glasses were a constant reminder to kids about the movie, reminding them that they want to see it.
