Would Biochemistry be a good major to do in college and then go to med-school.?

I am currently attending college with a declared biochemistry major on the premed track, and it is very possible to still go on to med-school. However, most of the classes past fall of sophomore year become very rigorous and require much study time. But if your heart is in the right place, you can do it.
