Describe Metro Ethernet Manager’s provisioning functions. Can services by dynamically created and/or modified?
MEM provides a powerful GUI-based provisioning application that employs the concept of “work orders.” The Product and Service Provisioning interface provides the ability to create / modify / delete services using a PC-based client. Modifying existing services is as simple as right clicking on a particular service in the service topology view of the GUI, updating any service parameters the user wishes, and applying the change to the network. This application supports change and configuration across multiple services in a single operation. Using the service editor, it is possible to query the data and make a change to the service attributes and then create a work order to apply the changes in bulk to all of the services.
