Does a family literacy student have to choose the last two goals?

No. Either of the two optional Ohio Measures re: Family Literacy, identified on the Student Registration Form in the number 13 (Optional) Secondary Goals, may be selected by any Ohio student, as a legitimate secondary goal, but is not a “required” goal for students participating in Ohio ABLE Family Literacy Programs. These goals will be tracked in ABLELink only if Program Type of Family Literacy is checked on Student Registration Form. ABLE programs may either offer Family Literacy-related activities to help these students achieve this goal, or comprehensive Family Literacy Program services to assist these students.
