How can running in extreme heat and humidity affect me?
Running when it’s hot can be dangerous because you will loose more sweat, putting you at risk for dehydration. If the humidity is high, it can be even worse for you since, although you sweat, the sweat does not evaporate as well and as a result does not cool you off as well. In extreme heat, with or without humidity, you need to take care not to overdo it and get heatstroke. In serious cases, dehydration and/or heat stroke can be fatal, so it’s not something you want to mess around with.
