Snickerdoodles are a delicious cinnamon snack, but oftentimes they are best when recently baked. However, these snickerdoodles are delicious (and soft!) up to 4-5 days after baking. This is an easy and delicious snickerdoodle recipe that will urge your guests to request more. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, beat the butter until thoroughly softened (about 45-60 seconds with an electric mixer on medium speed). Combine 1 cup of sugar, the cream of tartar, and the baking soda in a small bowl. Mix thoroughly by hand. Add your sugar mixture to the butter (about 1/4 cup at a time), beating constantly with the electric mixer. Beat until well mixed. Add the egg and the vanilla extract to your mixture, and continue to beat mixture until blended. With the electric mixer on high/maximum speed, add the flour (about 1/4 cup at a time).
