The end result is a fabulous tasty side dish that anyone from any part of the country will enjoy! In a medium saucepan, cook the instant grits according to the package directions. This should take about 5 to 10 minutes. While the grits are cooking, put the 2 slices of bacon on a baking pan in a 350 degree oven. Let the bacon cook until it is crispy. Then crumble the bacon into small pieces. After you are done cooking the grits, stir in the butter, shredded Italian-blend cheese, crumbled bacon, and the Montreal steak seasoning.
