How Do You Teach Instiling Manners Among Todays Teenagers?
Manners should be taught at home from the time they are children until they have children of their own. The South is known for southern belles, who expect to be treated like a lady, i.e. having the door opened for her, help when being seated at a table, for all the men to stand when she gets up from the table, opening the car door etc. If females don’t act like a lady, they most likely won’t be treated like one. The same for the guys, they need to be taught that you never, ever hit a woman, even if she might deserve it. There is so much more domestic violence these days, what happened to the golden rule of never hitting a woman?? Teenagers learn by example, if you’re not practicing what you preach, don’t expect the teens to do as you say and not what you do. We could all probably stand a refresher course on proper etiquette and manners–it might help us get along with each other better.
