How to Install a Dimmer?
To install a dimmer, you must first be certain that the power is turned off at the main electrical panel. With a screwdriver, proceed to remove the screws from the switch plate cover to expose the wiring and box. The wiring must be disconnected from the box. There should be three colored wires that will need to be attached to the corresponding colored wires on the dimmer. Replace the wires back into the box, and reattach the cover plate. Test it out.
