Is Vietnam still a communist country?

Yes,,when we pulled out, as our forces were reduced the Cong was advancing,,,that’s why you see the all the people trying to cling onto the wings of airplanes, or on the helicopter skids,,,there isn’t a north or south Vietnam,,one country ran by communist party in Korea,,,there is the 38th parallel,,there is a north and a south Korea,,,nobody one or lost the war,,,,it was an armistice,,where both sides agreed to stop fighting but technically we are still at war with north Korea.

The communist party still runs the country. It is a one party state and the land belongs to “the people”. You still need to have party connections to advance in government work. It, however, gave up on some orthodox Marxist theory long ago. It now accepts many free market ideas.
