What are the enviromental ethics and social responsibillities of a photographer?

Basically a photographer is there to record an event. They should be totally unbiased and not interfere in what happens or provoke a situation to get a picture. For instance if a photojournalist is covering a demonstration which “turns nasty” then they should just concentrate on getting pictures which give the story and should not concentrate on the “nasty police” or the “agitators”. Similarly if shooting nature or wildlife they should not interfere with the natural state of things. etc In practise this rarely happens as photographers as with anyone else have their own politics, morals, ethics or whatever you want to call it. They are also often working for someone else and are told what “angle” to work the story from. Of course when you come into the advertising and fashion etc then the customer is king and you spin things in whatever way the customer wants. If you don’t like their version then the choice is shoot it and shut up or don’t and don’t get paid.
