Call around to some of the local photographers in your area whose work you like and find out what their rates are. In addition, if the average rate for a quality wedding photographer is about $3000, do not expect to get work of that caliber at a fraction of the cost. To many times I have seen people regret hiring a cheap wedding photographer. This day hopefully only happens once in your life. Do not take the chance of not having it photographed correctly.
