Critical Illness Benefit pays 100% of the Critical Illness Sum Insured on survival of 30 days following the date of occurrence or confirmed diagnosis of the life insured suffering from one of the following 9 Insured Critical Illness Conditions. Following a Critical Illness claim, the Death Benefit and any other rider benefit remains unaffected. Following 9 Critical Illness conditions will be covered: • Cancer • Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery • Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction) • Kidney Failure (End-stage Renal Failure) • Major Organ Transplant • Stroke • Paralysis • Heart Valve Surgery • Surgery for a disease of the Aorta There is a waiting period of 90 days specified under Critical Illness rider i.e. if the life insured is diagnosed with any of the critical illnesses during first 90 days from the date of policy, claim is not payable and the rider will be terminated.
