What is a good age for me to bring my child to the dentist?
Most would agree that the proper age for a child’s first dental visit is getting younger. Depending on the child, of course, a good age is about 18 months. The child sits on the parent’s lap, allowing (we hope) a quick “look-see” by the dentist to ascertain if there are any serious problems. This also permits the child to become familiar with the office and staff in a pleasant and comfortable way, and routine, six-month dental visits usually follow, with a confident and relaxed child.
