The Kalahari Desert holds the distinction of being the largest in southern Africa. The desert covers 220,000 square miles stretching to Angola in the north, Namibia in the west and Zimbabwe to the east.
The Kalahari Desert is the largest desert (technically its a semi-desert) in Southern Africa. It extends 350,000 square miles or 900,000 square kilometres. The desert itself covers parts of South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.
