What is throughcare and aftercare?
A. Throughcare and aftercare are terms used by social workers and other staff to describe the support that young people, who are ‘looked after children’, need to help them to prepare for and successfully move on to living independently. The range of support offered to young people will cover issues such as housing, employment, further education or training, health, relationships and budgeting.
