What was the fruit that eve ate in the garden of eden?

I read somewhere once that it was supposedly a quince but I do not recall where that was. A quince however does not fit the description of being good to eat, as the Bible describes. They are hard and sour unless cooked. I don’t think that they had had time to invent cooking or use fire yet so I would doubt the quince. It couldn’t have been a banana since we know that God designed the banana specifically to be eaten, as we have learned from the brilliant Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron. Maybe it was a peach. Now there’s a delicious fruit that’s well worth eating!
