Who is Kate Middleton?
Kate Middleton (full name Catherine Elizabeth Middleton) is the future queen of England after the royal wedding to Prince William on April 29, 2011.
She was born on January 9, 1982, eldest of 3 children to Carole Elisabeth Goldsmith Middleton and Michael Francis Middleton (who were both flight attendants).
Kate’s career started as an accessory buyer for Jigsaw, and thought of becoming a professional photographer.
She attended the University of St. Andrews in Scotland (the place where she met Prince William in 2001). They started dating in 2003, and had a break up in 2007 which lasted several months. The two were engaged in October 2010 in Kenya.
Kate’s sense of style and demeanor in public is very respectful and elegant. She has been on many best dressed lists, and is known for her fancy hats.
She is the first commoner to marry into the royal family in 350 years (since 1660). Clarence House (where the newlyweds will reside) announced the engagement on November 16, 2010.
