Why did the Native Americans and white settlers quarrel over land?
To those blaming it on our sense of land ownership…thats a cop out. Your ancestors stole our land. We did not quarrel, we protected it and ourselves. Your ancestors wanted treaty with us. We AGREED, some for us, some for you (at a price). Then your ancestors broke treaty and stole it. Your people have not changed because year after year more land is stolen. Considering you are STILL stealing our land I would say we are being down right civil about it. But when we try to stop you from stealing with a peaceful road block your people react withcops or military…who is quarreling?
