Why is chocolate so bad for dogs??

Other foods to avoid giving your dog are onions and garlic, any kind of fresh or dried grape (sultanas etc), macadamia nuts and the seeds or stones of apples and pears and plums and peaches and apricots and nectarines, raw potato skin or green potatoes, alcohol and tobacco and anything that contains caffeine (teabags as well as coffee).
