Why on earth are they changing the Hockey Night in Canada Theme song?
I could understand somewhat if it was a financial decision, but it sounds like they only pay about $500 per use. So, the CBC has for some reason decided to “move in a new direction” that makes absolutely no sense. The word “disgrace” might be an understatement. I’m all for improving things, but how do you improve on something that iconic? Obviously we’re all going to continue watching, but I’ll miss that little adrenaline kick I get every time I hear the HNIC theme. Terrible decision by our laughingstock of a national network, no matter what excuse they try to use.
