Will my baby be ok, as fell down the stairs tonight?

I fell down the stairs at 32 weeks, not onto my stomach, but I injured myself. I sprained my foot, and went to the hospital to have my foot and the baby checked out. The stress put me into premature labor, which the doctors were able to stop. If the baby is moving, this is a good sign, but you really need to calm down. You’re going to make yourself start having contractions, and you don’t want that. My baby was not in distress, I was lucky, but if you get the chance to go to the hospital, you might want to go get monitored. My first suggestion for now would be call your doctor, or if they dont have an on call doctor, then call the labor and delivery ward at the hospital. explain what is going on, tell them that the baby is moving, but that you are concerned. they will advise you on whether or not they think it is necessary for them to see you. good luck.

unless you fell on your belly you should be ok. Baby has lots of padding in there.

You should probably just call and ask your regular doctor what she/he thinks. If you aren’t bleeding and it has been an hour or two and the baby is still active then you are probably ok but in a case like this you can never be too careful so call.

I think your baby is probably fine and the kicking sounds like a good sign, but I think you should go down the hospital and have a checkup. Take your two year old with you and have him checked too.
