Will the iPad cause sales to drop on the iPhone and iPod touch?

I would think that the iPad wouldn’t have much of an effect on the sales of the iPhone – since it can make calls and the iPad cannot. Right there you are dealing with two different types of products. It seems that the iPad and iPod Touch overlap in functionality a bit more – the iPod touch is touted as a palmtop internet device/gaming machine, and the iPad is aiming for the netbook market. It wouldn’t surprise me to see some folks forking out the extra couple hundred dollars to get the iPad over the iPod touch, if portability is not an issue. I’m no industry analyst though, these are just my thoughts and opinions!
