5. How do I care for my Sterling Silver Utzi?
If you use your Utzi on a daily basis, chances are you will rarely need to polish it. If you use it occasionally, storing the item in an airtight container will slow the tarnishing process. If your item came in the Utzi leather Jewelry Pouch, it is lined with anti-tarnish cloth, which will slow the process, but you will probably have to polish it eventually. Polishing the silver with a soft cotton cloth is recommended. A chemically treated polishing cloth, like a Sunshine Cloth®, makes the job a lot easier, but be careful. Try not to touch any carved pieces (such as the horn or bone carvings) with the cloth, as it will tint them with tarnish, (but they later can be cleaned with mild soap and water). DO NOT dip the silver in a chemical solution; it will eventually degrade the finish.
