A collection of 35mm slides collecting DUST!! Is there ant type of scanner that can convert them to CDs ??
I used to shoot nothing but slides and have a box full, along with a dozen or so full carousels. No slide shows on the horizon… I’ve toyed with the idea of scanning my stuff myself. If you consider how long it will take to do just one scan, and consider how many slides you have – it can get pretty depressing if you’re not in to drudge work. I saw this service recently and I’m really tempted to send my stuff there: http://www.scancafe.com A good slide scanner is not cheap. You could be looking at MONTHS of diligent scan work. For me, that would be enough to kill my hobby.
