A friend has a focal schwannoma (nerve sheath tumor). Any thoughts on hospital/doctors for a second opinion?
She’s been told she should head to L.A. for surgery to remove the fortunately benign tumor, but will be left with some degree of facial paralysis. Very hard for anyone, but as she’s a high school teacher, it may leave her unemployed. We can’t help but wonder if there are other options and don’t know where to begin. Any advice would be much appreciated.
