Yes. In accordance with the ICD National Coverage Determination , hospitals must submit data on all ICD implantations that were performed for primary prevention and occurred on or after January 27, 2005. If hospitals have not yet entered this data to the QNet’s ICD Abstraction Tool, they are expected to enter that data retroactively; however, they are encouraged to wait until they have transitioned to the NCDR™ ICD Registry™ in order to submit this data.
